Tetsuya Nomura recently sat down to answer some questions over at the Japanese Square Enix members area and because of that, we now know a little bit more about Versus XIII. As many of you already do know, Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, thus it’ll be able to take full advantage of the architecture of the PlayStation 3 and it’s storage medium, Blu-ray Disc. So, what can you expect?
Well, when Nomura was asked how far along the game was, he stated “Things are not connected yet, every part is moving along separately. However, we have gotten airships working over the world map.”
This should indicate that not only is the world map and airships returning to the franchise, but that open towns are a possibility as well. If you’re going to be able to fly to certain aspects of the map throughout the game, chances are, you’ll be visiting towns.

dont know why everybody is hating FF XII was a good game for me, it aint no FF VIII but it satisfied me beyond what i expected after reading all the reviews
