Ghost Recon: Future Soldier announced for PS3 and Xbox 360

The announcement of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier debuted on Xbox Live, but Ubisoft would not further divulge the game’s release platforms. Of course, like previous entries in the series it’s presumed that the game will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. However, it looked like Microsoft’s console was the only platform Ubisoft was willing to confirm – worrying for PlayStation University’s readers I’m sure.

Well we can put that to rest, with VG247’s Johnny Cullen gaining a Twitter response from Ubisoft’s community manager Kimi Matsuzaki. She not only confirmed that the shooter will be coming to the PS3, but also that it would be the same as the Xbox 360 version and further that it will release at the same time. No timed exclusivity for Microsoft then.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is said to feature a fresh gameplay experience with “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.”

However, Xbox 360 gamers will be getting an exclusive experience from Ubisoft. Buyers of Splinter Cell: Conviction will be given a chance to play Future Soldier’s multiplayer beta this summer. Splinter Cell: Conviction releases for the Xbox 360 and PC on April 16th 2010.

  1. If it’s anything like Advanced Warfighter 2, I’m not interested.

  3. meh i dont really care….besides, the 360 is getting extra stuff for buying SC4 so more power to them

the first GR game wasnt even taht good :\

  4. looks interesting i like the first one kinda, so this might be good

  5. Its great that the PS3 is also getting this game and not just the Xbox 360. The release date are the same for both consoles, so PS3 fans of the game won’t have to wait while the Xbox 360 people play the game.
