Kane & Lynch 2 release date announced

Well we’re not sure if you care, but IO Interactive (Hitman, Mini Ninjas) and Square Enix (something called Final Fantasy) have announced the release date for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

The follow up to the poorly received Kane & Lynch: Dead Men will be on its way to North America on August 24th and Europe on August 27th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

IO Interactive, now a part of Sqaure Enix Europe, has apparently listened closely to its critics and created a much better game, with unique visuals to boot. The game’s artistic style reportedly takes its cue from documentary filmakers and the “user-generated era.”

“We believe the unique visuals and relentless gameplay has created an intensity never delivered in a videogame before,” said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive. “In a genre where so many games look and feel the same, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will make people double-take. We think it’s going to make quite an impression.”

Dog Days will also bring all-new multiplayer modes, alongside the returning Fragile Alliance, Undercover Cop, Cops & Robbers and Arcade modes. We’ve included a teaser trailer below. Excited or indifferent?

  1. Hopefully this game won’t disappoint like the first.

  2. I hated the first one and was shocked as all hell to hear that this was getting a sequel. I guess if they are, they’d better make this damn good, or else they’re going to look quite dumb.

That being said, I wonder who they’ll try to buy for this one. OOH, I totally went there.

  3. lol the first one was pretty ghetto, i wont be looking forward to this…….

    do i foresee ANOTHER scandal???

  4. The first one was meh but there no reason why this one cant be good. From the trailer it looks like a big improvement
