Prince of Persia Trilogy coming exclusively to PS3

Ubisoft has announced they will be releasing a Prince of Persia HD collection next month exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

The new Prince of Persia Trilogy will include Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

All three games will support 720 HD resolution as well as feature all new textures, normal maps, and anti-aliasing. For those lucky enough to own a 3D HDTV, the reworked trilogy will also be fully playable in stereoscopic 3D.

As of right now, Ubisoft has only given a European release date, with the Prince of Persia Trilogy set to hit November 19th for a retail price of £29.99. It will be interesting to see if Ubisoft announces any of their other rumored 3D HD reworkings in the coming weeks, now that Prince of Persia has been confirmed.

  1. Never was a fan of the series, so meh.

  2. Oh heck yes.

  3. Good times, although a U.S. date sure would be nice.

  4. Oh my gosh! What a shocker!

  5. I’m surprised. Considering Ubisoft, I did not expect this to be PS3 exclusive.

  6. If more of these HD reworkings become PS3 exclusives this could set some more wind in Sony’s sails for sure.

  7. i dont care about princ of persia
    i want a mgs collection!

  8. what he said ^. bring on the MGS collection

  9. So for US/CA people here, sad news… Ubisoft confirmed today that for some reason PoP Trilogy is going to be not only PS3 exclusive, but EU region exclusive. Whether or not this will be region-locked by the devs (which is rare on PS3) has yet to be confirmed… So there is still hope of an import.

Seriously, this is great news. I hope more HD collections get released in the future. I can’t wait for the Ico and Shadow of the colossus HD collection.

  11. If this doesn’t release in the US, I’m flying to Ubisoft Headquarters and kicking them in the vag.
