As many of you know, last week delivered upon us yet another delay for Sony’s anticipated simulation racer, Gran Turismo 5. While this created quite the stir across the internet, Sony did promise to have the title out this Holiday season. Some users pointed to the fact that perhaps Gran Turismo 5 didn’t come built-in with a high enough Firmware designation and thus it needed to be pushed back to be corrected, others felt that some of the glitches seen at trade shows were the source of the delay.
Regardless of which side of the fence you find greener, Sony Australia has recently ran a promotional offering that guarantees the deliver of Gran Turismo 5 by Christmas 2010. How much truth there is to this is still unknown, but there is a good chance that this promotion was set to run prior to the delay of the game. Hopefully though, Sony holds true to its word and releases this Holiday season.
As you can see, if you purchase a new Sony 3D Bravia, the company will send you not only a new PlayStation 3, but a set of 3D glasses, 2 3D Blu-ray discs, 4 downloadable 3D PSN titles and a copy of Gran Turismo 5 by December 25th.
If there is any truth to this, great — if not, hopefully we find out more soon.
