Ni no Kuni to charm the pants off of North America in early 2012

I don't know a lot about Ni no Kuni, except for the fact that I've wanted it with every fiber of my being ever since I first laid eyes on it last year. Many North Amercian gamers were worried that the stunningly animated game wouldn't make its way out of Japan, but I'm happy to report that the game will indeed make its way to our shores in early 2012. Co-developed by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli, the RPG is going with a stunning art direction that only a ghoulish husk of a person wouldn't be charmed by. TGS ’10 Level 5 shows off their next PS3 game

White Knight Chronicles developer Level 5 has been showing off its new cell-shaded PlayStation 3 RPG at the Tokyo Game Show. Titled "Ni no Kuni," the game takes players on a wonderfully animated adventure, exploring beautiful lands and interesting characters. The game is playable on the Tokyo Game Show floor and has so far been getting high remarks from those lucky enough to play it. No exact release date has been given, but expect to see it sometime 2011. Watch the official TGS 2010 trailer for Ni no Kuni below.

White Knight Chronicles gets even more quests

Level 5's White Knight Chronicles may have been recently released in the west but it's been out in Japan for over a year. With the announcement of a sequel that includes all new locations and features you would be mistaken for thinking they were all done with the original release. You'd also be wrong though, as today, Japanese mag Dengeki, tells us of 3 new quests coming to the game and bringing new equipment, such as the Caladbolg sword. The new quest "A Stray Cat in the Dark" requires players to work together to find and catch a cat that has run away. This along with the quests "Battle of the Dust" and "United Mercenary Team" are scheduled for release on February 25th in Japan. It's only a matter of time before they make their way west.

Level 5 working on unannounced PS3 exclusive

The Japanese developer who brought the PlayStation 3 White Knight Chronicles is reportedly working on another game for the console. This is unlikely to be the previously announced White Knight Chronicles 2, since Level 5's president Akihiro Hino added that the in-development game had yet to be announced. At least, that's what Hino-san is reported to have said in Tokyo by Japanese Blog Dengeki. The developer is also working on an unannounced Nintendo Wii video game, which we might predict to be Dragon Quest X. There's also a possibility that Level 5 could be returning to work with Sony Computer Entertainment for the long awaited release of Dark Cloud 3 on the PS3. Here's hoping.
