These Shooters will Rape your Wallet In 2011 and 2012

Modern Warfare 3 is set to take players around the world, from massive city locations such as New York, The Kremlin in Moscow, Paris, France, and London. Spec Ops will feature survival and mission modes, with over ten maps. Also, over 20 maps are rumored for multiplayer including places like Paris, Mogadishu, and Seatown.

Speculation from some of the leaked screenshots leads to believe there will be vehicle support in multiplayer including helicopters and transport vehicles. Also, referencing from what has been shown in the teaser trailers, destruction modeling to buildings and environments will be part of the game. Heroes Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and Captain John Price return in Modern Warfare 3, along with a new Russian agent Yuri.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is expected to release in November (via Amazon listing / retail), however Activision, nor the developers have made an official announcement regarding launch.

Resistance 3

Taking place four years after the events in Resistance 2, Insomniac Games takes players on a journey across a war-torn America, where remaining survivors of the Chimera invasion have been scattered, leaving hope lingering by a thread.

Many of the game mechanics from the previous titles are making their return, with a few new additions. Resistance 3 supports up to 16 players online via multiplayer in both deathmatch and mission objective based map types, as well as supporting split-screen and online co-op for the game’s storyline. Many of the series cherished weapons will be making a return as well, including the Bullseye, Magnum, Rossmore, Auger, Marksman and Carbine, all of which are upgradable.

Additionally Resistance 3 supports both the PlayStation Move via the PlayStation Sharp Shooter peripheral and stereoscopic 3D. Look for Resistance 3 when it hits stores September 6, 2011.

Dust 514

Using what appears to be a heavily modified version of the Unreal Engine 3, CCP Games (developers of Eve Online) looks to redefine the FPS genre by having Dust 514’s massive FPSMMO ground battles actually affect what happens overall in the Eve Universe, combining FPS planet battles with Eve Online’s spaceship wars.

Not much else is known about the title other than players will not have specific classes to choose from, rather their abilities and specializations will be decided by the choices they make. Also, fully customizable vehicles will be available to players, using a high-medium-low slot system similar to Eve Online. No official release date has been given, however it wouldn’t be surprising if the game passes into the 2012 release window.

    It’s on page 2.

  3. Lol, you’ve got modern warfare 3 on here but no gears of war 3??
I’m sorry, but no CoD game will ever rape my wallet again. That stopped with black ops.

    • Eh, sorry. I just read the first paragraph and it clearly states FPS games. But I still hold to my statement about CoD games’ decline. Also, homefront sucked balls.

I’m definitely looking forward to Gears of War 3! 😉 The first two titles were great, except for when people started using bugs and map hacks to cheat online.

I’ve been watching a lot of the Gears 3 beta footage and am looking forward to seeing more on the title at E3.

  5. why would they rape my wallet?

i can rent them so it means I’m the one raping the developer’s ass and publishers, meaning its a gangbang.

  6. Never heard of Interstellar Marines, pretty cool stuff. I’ll be getting a lot of these titles no doubt.

Shark headed aliens. Plus the tech for an indie studio is pretty impressive. I think they’re best bet for consoles is to release it on the PSN and XBLA. Cuts having to deal with retail.

      • Correction: the sharks are escaped experiments. The actual alien threat has only been seen once, and that was an early piece of concept art.

And as for PSN and XBLA, they would like to put it up on there, but it’s not that likely ATM. Just a PC release for now.

I be a person who invested in it so I know heh.

        • Thank you for info. Interstellar Marines has been a game that I’ve supported for years. Covered it a few times back when I wrote for PSU. It would be great if we can ever see a release on PSN/XBLA. Single-player could be episodic if they wanted, and multiplayer could be the core download.

  7. What about Gears of War 3? Seriously.

  8. HAHA that ‘IM’ game looks PROPER gay!! Hahahah, just like republican space rangers from GTA, hahahaha so gay like Halo! And for ALL u xbot retards talking about GEARs – LISTEN UP RETARDS; Gears is not a FPS like the rest of the games mentioned!

  9. Gotta love when all the video boxes are white. Good grief people lets use suitable code..

I am not going to buy Shitty COD games any more. They haven’t done crap to the engine except for minor visual effects. Meanwhile DICE has done the near impossible with their engine.

COD is just weak anyone who buys it is wrapped up in Marketing Fluff.

  11. What they didn’t say about IM is their ultimate motive of immersion into the experience. I.e. sounds on the other side of the wall won’t just be reduced in volume; if there’s a open door over there, it’ll bounce out of it. If a real person is talking on their mic on the other side of a door, without their mask/radio on, their talking is muffled.

Oh, and no damned pew-pew lasers, but neither are there copy-pasted RL weapons.
