It’s not really surprising to hear SCEA’s CEO Jack Tretton discuss Killzone 3. After all, the company put millions of dollars into funding Killzone 2 and the software launch was a complete success in comparison to the money put in. However, last night, Tretton confirmed that Killzone 3 is on the horizon but didn’t give mention as to when you could expect it.
“You know, we own Guerrilla Studios, and uh, they did a great job on Killzone 1 and 2 … I don’t know when you’ll see announcements about it, but I can promise you a Killzone 3.”
Instead, Tretton let us know that the game is coming and that you should also look forward to a killer E3 experience because they plan on releasing a lot of great information during their conference.
Tretton referred to GDC as the “icing on the cake” and that E3 would be “the batter” that followed. So, it sounds like Sony is cooking something up that is going to impress a lot of people. Considering they have yet to reveal their Q4 lineup, E3 could definitely be an interesting event to say the least.

started playing killzone 2 again after cod and found its so fun compared to cod. Cant wait for killzone 3. going to kick ass
^^^^^ yeah right, KZ2 is still one of the best shooters ever made, heck its light years better than the new shooters out now, and thats saying something.

KZ2 needs more “skill” to play then COD anyday XD As well the online is just intense and Killzone 3 would be just absolutely amazing like Killzone 2 XD

@xero135: wow, its been awhile since ive seen you around! but dood, the weapon restriction on some classes seems fine as it balances the game out. except a wee bit more flexibility would be nice….but im not for letting all classes be able to use every weapon
I would love to see an option to play KZ3 in third person. A bit better than MGS4
