Zipper Interactive understands its audience

6 Comments | posted

Zipper Interactive is about to have its hands full with supporting its recently released title, M.A.G. as well as pushing forward to delivering SOCOM 4 to fans as well. One of the things that has always stood out about this team of developers is the way that they understand and connect with their franchises fans in order to deliver them experiences worthy of the game purchase.

While many have shown concern that Zipper is perhaps slipping in that ability, a recent post on the official M.A.G. forums can support the fact that Zipper continues to connect with those giving input on its titles. They also look forward to providing them content that better suits the consumer’s needs on an overall level. This couldn’t be any more indicative than the free DLC that was given out to owners of MAG last month.

For those of you still fighting the Shadow War, you can expect these type of updates in the near future for the title.

  • Clan support will be seeing upgrades as time goes on — I can’t give you exact details just yet; but we are improving this. Probably more so than most would think.
  • SOCOM 4 and MAG have different teams within Zipper. While there is some overlap, we have a team dedicated to S4 and a team dedicated to MAG.
  • DLC, Patches, plenty of other stuff is still in the pipeline — and a lot of it at that

All of these are great to know about and should put a lot of gamers at ease. It’s nice to know that they have separate teams working on each product as that allows for a much fuller support of each game. With so many people still playing M.A.G. on a daily basis, it only goes to show that Zipper does have a strong following of fans and that the developer continues to deliver titles people want to play on a consistent basis.

    nice!

its good to hear that Zipper is dedicated to pleasing their fans! not too many devs are making games that have FREE DLC….even if its just flashbangs and little tidbits.

Nice to hear that Zipper is listening to their fans and supporting their game accordingly. I wish more companies would do that, it doesn’t sound like something that’s that hard to do.

All I want from MAG is:
-Ability to add more than one faction.
    -More maps.
-More weapons. (Sniper riffle that shoots grenades?)
-More gamemodes. (Capture the Flag, King Of The Hill, etc)
    And, oh yeah! More MAG!
    (Massively Addicting Goodness)

    More Maps is good XD
Snipers that shoots grenades? Don’t see that as fun, you can all the grenades in Mw2 lol
More Game modes, such as King of the Hill and CTF would be awesome.

I kinda wish they have a scenario, where, you know in Saving Private Ryan, the D-Day part? Like it would be amazing if you have about 50 defenders and the rest, all attackers that will respawn continuously , while the defending Teams get 3 lives for each person, it would be EPICCCC.

Yeah I thought they would have two seperate teams working working on the two games and the promise of DLC is nice as long as they dont charge a fortune but if they keeping doing free DLC like they did before then more the merrier
