NeatherRealm Studios, well known for its success with Mortal Kombat 9, has been working on a new fighting game over the last 6 months that is exclusively DC Comics characters. Injustice: Gods Among Us is well on its way now, and will be released in early 2013. With half the cast already announced and a slew of hints at who might be next, I would like to indicate characters that have not been announced that should be. Here are my top 5 male and top 5 female characters that i would like to see in injustice as well as their character type:

Static (Gadget Character)
Many of us remember the WB show Static Shock with this meta-human and his friend Gear fighting “Bang Babies” in their quest to protect the city. What many don’t know is that Static was originally a DC comic, and thus being a DC/WB character, it would seem that he is perfectly fair game for NeatherRealm Studios’ new title. Virgil Hawkins’s electric powers would make him a great zoning character in this game, though NRS would have to do some work to fit him into the storyline.

Static

Martian Manhunter (Power Character)
J’onn J’onzz is obviously a martian, and as such he has a slew of superhuman abilities including super-strength, invulnerability, shape-shifting, flight, and much more. He was a founding member of the Justice League of America and a well known “good guy.” The main reason why he would be great in this game is that NRS would have free reign on his slews of powers, and he would have viable possibilities against any character in the cast.

General Zod (Power Character)
Dru-Zod may best be known for being the main villain in the second Superman movie and eventually made Superman bow down. This guy has all of the same powers as Superman, military training, and a super-posse, and he’s also a megalomaniac. Furthermore, there’s a Russian Zod who’s costume would be an evil version of Superman’s Red Son costume. NRS needs to have Zod in the game as an anti-Superman.

Deathstroke (Gadget Character)
Slade Wilson has no superpowers, per se, though he does have a slight healing factor and the strength of ten men. Even so, what makes Deathstroke so impressive is his tactical ability to make your greatest weapon into your greatest liability. This is epitomized when he held his own against a team consisting of Elongated Man, the Flash, Zatanna, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, the Atom, and Green Lantern.

Deathstroke

Vandal Savage (Power Character)
This immortal meta-human has been a super-villain for 50 thousand years, founded the Illuminati, sunk Atlantis, and ruled the world multiple times. Vandal Savage is THE super-villain. Anything any villain has wanted to do, he’s done it, but he’s still not satisfied. One teaser released featured an unnamed individual speaking up against the tyranny of heroes. This voice may have been Vandal Savage, and if it is DC fans around the globe will be satisfied.

Males that were considered: Brother Blood, Lex Luthor, and Beast Boy
