British gamers want Move more than Kinect

5 Comments | posted

The UK is much like America in its support for Microsoft’s console. Not only does the Xbox 360 lead the way in Britain, but the Xbox 360 S broke sales records in the country. Funnily enough, despite all of that, British PlayStation 3 gamers look more interested in motion controls than their Xbox counterparts.

According to Groupola (dedicated to daily deals in the UK), British PS3 gamers are more likely to adopt PlayStation Move than Xbox 360 gamers are to adopt Microsoft’s Kinect this Holiday season.

The company surveyed over 2,000 UK gamers and a staggering 64% of PS3 owners said they were willing to purchase PlayStation Move. Sadly, Kinect only garnered the attention of a meagre 23% of Xbox 360 gamers.

This drastic difference is honestly startling as Kinect has been widely sought after across the world and in the UK – its apparently picking up booming pre-orders. Is this a sign of demand turning its tide? Which are you looking forward to most?

Move is much better than Kinect and offers much more in terms of gaming options.

That’ll be down to the price, and the fact that it actually works. Even recent post-E3 videos of Kinect have, frankly, been embarrassing.

I only play my 360 for Halo n Gears of War which are the only games to go crazy for on the Xbox. Jumping around in the air and looking under my avatars foot really doesn’t float my boat.. Resident Evil 5 with Wii controls does!

i might get bough, or none, its all gona depend on the games that come out for it
as of now, im interested in move because of The Fight, Socom 4 and its compatibility with LBP, Heavy Rain, and Killzone 3
as for Kinect, for some reasons im not realy interested in meating Milo or making my avatar catch big red balls
