L.A. Noire is up to 22,000 pages of script

How many of you love to read? Hopefully all of you since you’re on the site, but outside of that, do you ever pick up an encyclopedia in its entirety and just sit down and read it? We’re guessing you don’t. However, it seems that’s the type of script length Team Bondi is delivering for it’s upcoming title, L.A. Noire.

While many never thought this title would ever see the light of day (Hey Duke Nukem), it’s starting to feel more and more like this game will eventually release. According to Brendan McNamara in the latest issue of EDGE Magazine, their ambitious script is already at the 22,000 mark. That’s over 9,000!!!

“The script’s up to 22,000 pages,” he stated. “That’s two full years of a TV series and probably 12 feature films. It goes a lot of places!”

The only thing to wait on now is to see if the gameplay can deliver the script as intended. If not, it’ll be about 12 feature films of wasted time on top of the time we put in playing it. Here’s to hoping it all goes smoothly!

Even if the gameplay is average, if it has a great story, I’m in. As long as the gameplay isn’t terrible, I’m fine.

Ummm can I just say epic?! 22,000 pages is quite quite Hefty, and hopefully its not just spam XD Seriously, even though we know nothing about this game, wuld it be somewhat like Heavy Rain where they have different scenarios? Because I have No idea how they are going to fit 22,000 pages worth of script into a 10 or more hour game.

hows it going to work? Is it like heavy rain or mass effect how u get options to choose the dialogue? Its a lot of script. If its bad it will be a waste of time. If its a great story then it may make up if the gameplay fails which i highly doubt.
