Mega Man creator to announce new game

At the end of this month Capcom will be announcing a new game. A new game from the father of Mega Man – Keiji Inafune.

Inafune will be bringing himself to Comic-Con 2010 to make a new game announcement on Thursday 22 July. And no this isn’t the ‘big announcement’ Capcom Europe teased – that appears to be about a new Dead Rising 2 website. Yawn.

The scheduled announcement was revealed on the official Comic-Con website:

“Hear details on an exciting new game announcement by Capcom legend Keiji Inafune, the father of Mega Man!”

Awaiting disappointment in 3… 2… 1…

  1. Mega man x or legends please .. enough 8 bit mega man .. ugh….

  2. Mexagan x 9 for the PSN with a retro snes look. That would be he coolest game ever (at least from capcom xD).

  3. Mega Man Kart Racing lol

  4. It would be cool if it was a new IP, but I wouldn’t mind a Mega Man X game.

  5. I want a new Mega Man Legends, or HD Remakes of Mega Man Legends 1 & 2.

  6. really? you put the pic of X instead of megaman in representation of the FATHER OF MEGAMAN??

Ha ha – wondered if anyone would spot that. =)

By the way guys – the father of Mega Man has done much more than that – he’s been producer on Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Lost Planet….the list goes on.

  8. im hoping for a new ip
cuz right now anouncing a nother resident evil or megaman game would be like anouncing that the sun is gona rise tomorow

  9. MEGA MAN RPG!!!

  10. @POLLO:

Err, you should play Megaman Legends 1&2 =J

  11. a new onimusha game !!!!!!!!

  12. Mega Man RPG = Mega Man X Command Mission
X was crap after 4, the original series was fine until they added 9 and 10. Don’t even get me started on Mega Man Zero.
Onimusha went to hell after 2, Resident Evil did the same after 3.
Just leave the old franchises alone and make something new.
