Treyarch has announced a PlayStation 3 exclusive double XP event for Call of Duty: Black Ops this weekend to make it up to players who missed out during the PSN outage two weeks ago.

The double XP weekend starts tomorrow, Friday, May 20 at 10am PST and goes till Tuesday, May 24. Activision has yet to confirm an official date for the Escalation map pack on the PS3, however a Treyarch developer told CVG that another double XP weekend event will take place soon across all three platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) to celebrate the DLC being released across the board.

“We are working on it and will update you ASAP,” said the developer when discussing the release of the PS3 version of Escalation.

Expect to hear an announcement soon, but until then, enjoy the double XP weekend that begins tomorrow morning.
