Back during E3 2008, I was one of the lucky few to be in attendance when I Am Alive was shown off to the industry for the very first time. During the Ubisoft conference, the reveal ended up being a big deal and a breath of fresh air due to the stale nature of the conference up to that point. Unfortunately, instead of being its completely own title with a disc-release, it is now being reported that I Am Alive will serve as nothing more than a digital download.
According to Ubisoft, nothing has yet to be made official and they had this to say to Eurogamer, “We have not recently announced anything for I Am Alive and we have nothing official to announce at this time.”
The reports of I Am Alive becoming a digital download first got underway when a couple of posters from the popular gaming forum, NeoGAF mentioned they had seen something about it in a video featured on JeuxVideo. Apparently, Jade Raymond had made the announcement herself and we can expect the game to release some time in 2011.
Until things are cleared up further though, we’re left in the dust much like the city of Chicago.

This just screams confidence.
